Hello all1 I was wanting to get some feed back on what players thought of Meinl drums vs. the LP's. Any takers?

Welcome to the forum Percussionista !

There are many, many past debates about this drum vs. that drum with these skins vs. those skins.

Meinl and LP both make really nice drums, but at the higher price range. For example:
I've played the LP Aspires with stock heads and was not very impressed. However,
the Galaxy series with hand picked skins sounds awesome!

What are you currently playing? What else have you demo'd?

Tell us more about you and once again ... welcome! :D

Well put Cap'n Q! Adelante!

Alafia Abures y bienvenido al forum Percussionista!

You know, several factors influence the type of drums one plays, and may include; professional player, recreational player, wood vs. fiberglass, shape (wide belly, or narrow one), height of drums, and a very big factor, $$$ finances.

I've seen players with three different drums on a gig, a hogepoge set if you will, but they make them sound great (technique). You'll get a number of personal preferences expressed here, some like LP others, Meinl, and yet others may introduce still another brand not very well heard of! If you want to fall in love with a drum, check out volcanopercussion.com Chacho! Those are some incredibly beautiful drums my friend!

Suave!
