Hello hermanos,

I want to change my skins on my quinto/conga/tumba palladium (my PRS check came in this morning = ASCAP). It seems that there is a consensus on the bad quality of the LP buffalo.

What are the option out there? I looked at JRC mule (158 dollars) and Timba (212 dollars), any others?
I read here that the Palladium are not standard, therefore I can't use premounted I guess? I have put a set of cuban skins on my gon bops before so I guess I can do that again.

How ar those JCR mule skins? Has anyone had them? How can I make sure they send me some good skins? What is the mule like?

thanks for help and suggestion and great hollidays to all.

Alafia Abure Tone!
I hope that you are well and in an abundance of blessings!

You may want to follow-up with the information listed below:
This is actually from a previous post, Isaac!

Skins are 50% of your instrument. So improvement
in your sound is a guarantee over commercial
heads.
I sell Mule Skins, which you can find out about in
some our past forums. Over 100 players have bought
them in the past year, and they're very happy.
I have both premounted in standard sizes and
some thicker ones that are flat circles in
18 & 22 inches. Also for bongo sizes.

for more info contact me, I'd be happy to advise you..

Also, you can look into Moperc @ http://www.moperc.com, they sell cowhide. I've purchased all of my skins from them and I have not been disappointed once.
