Aloha My Forum Brothers and Sisters,

I would like to share with you my latest additions to my arsenal of Volcano Percussion Drums (just when I thought I had enough of 'um). I refer to them as Thunder and Lighting. Thunder, is a 14 inch "Boomba" made with a combination of Mango and MonkeyPod wood. The open tones and heel strikes on this bad boy is just THUNDEROUS! Lightning, is a 10 1/4 inch Mango wood Requinto. The slaps on this drum is crackling, it even makes me sound like an accomplished soloist (I'm far from it) hehehe.
Enjoy...

Aloha, maSSivdrums

Aloha Gang,

Mahalo for the kind words about my toy's. Yes, I consider myself fortunate to own 'um.

Onile,

Yes, the Boomba is my thunder Drum, and it is also my favorite too. Tom Alexander, who creates these beauty's does an awesome job to make these Baby's look good, and also sounds maSSiv! The Boomba weighs about 32 lbs., and the rest of the Conga Drums he makes range about 30 lbs. in weight.

ABAKUA,

The Drums come with the finest Texas steerhide fitted on them, which puts out a fabulous sound. This is the Drum I was telling you about a while back, that I was trying to find a custom made bag for. It's soo maSSiv, that it won't fit in any bag on the market.Your contact that made your bags has not gotten back to me yet, so i protect it with a thick flannel blanket. Sorry, it does not come equipt with a handle.

GuruPimpi,

I think I'm going to have to agree with you on that, VP Drums are the ULTIMATE Drums on the market today. Yes expensive, but very well worth it. If you are looking for a drum that you want as a "keeper", this is it.
I've had the opportunity to record with these drums, which puts out an unreal sound in the studio! Kirk Thompson of Spectrum Recording and Sound here in Honolulu, was blown away by the sound these Drums produce, that he's getting a set of 'um as we speak! As soon as I can get a sound byte I'll try and post it.
Keep on Poundin',

Aloha, maSSivdrums

Yo! you know what they say......"if you have to ask the price........! :D :p Kidding of course!
Alafia Brother Rumbaman!

You know, I had visited the Volcano Percussion site a couple of months ago, and at that time, was able to see the prices, but most recently I wasn't. I'm not sure if they (VP) blocked that feature out, or I may have not done something right. In anycase, I seem to remember that they start at about a grand ($1,000) and go up from there.

Alafia Brother MaSSivedrums! If you could shed some light on this issue, I too am curious as to the cost of such wonderful specimens of the little percussive creatures! :D

Many blessings to you all my brothers!
