Congas and bongos are my love.I've been collecting for many years.Unfortunately,there are not many gigs here in Miami.JC can tell you,he lived here a number of years and was forced to leave.Thank God I'm a CPA and get my rice and beans from my profession.Thanks for looking. Abrazos, Dario

You know, my friends have always given me the business for having so many congas, (3 LP Patatos, 3 Fats, 4 Palladiums, 3 Gonbops,)
but now I know I’m not alone. :p
Your drums are extremely well taken care of mi pana, I don't believe if I had them, that I would ever part with them!

Guys, what do you mean with those statements about Miami? Is it not the most ''latino musical'' city in states (Cuba is near...)?
I know JC wrote something about it, but is it that bad today?

Youwill not hear any Cuban music in Miami...theyeven have a radio show that only plays Cuban music before 1959....they do not embrace their Cubanulture outside of black beans and white rice and paella.....i ws there for 17 years and struggled and at one point even wound up "homeless"...u can have Miami, the "Sun dont pay the rent"!....."JC" Johnny Conga...
Posted: Fri Mar 03, 2006 10:59 pmJC you're right , Miami is dead for live latin music, no support for the locals, the pop stuff comes and goes and you may do a gig on TV, for a bill and then you are out there again trying to play the real shit, but it ain't there, is a different scene the DJs have taken over with their synthetic " mierda".
From a Colombian brother here in Tampa, the scene is picking up, there are some good players residing here( miami relocados) and most important they want to do things. Just got back from Colombia and the creativity there is flowing nicely, I was impressed. Picked up a nice Tambor Alegre which I am wearing out.
