Hi all,
Long time reader, first time poster. I have gained lots of valuable information here, so THANK YOU ALL! By the way JC, you recommended the use of lard to moisturize skins the other day. I tried vegetable lard on my set of lp classics, and it worked wonders.
Anyway, to the point. I have noticed that every few days or so there is someone asking "what conga set to buy". Well, for those wanting to buy a mid-range set, I found a great deal online. It actually seems too good to be true, but it is worth checking out. The vendor is Mucisian's Hut. The set is a quinto and conga Toca Traditional, plus a set of Toca Traditional bongos and free shipping, all for only $362.50.
If you think about it, it averages $120 per item, which, if true, is a great deal in my opinion.
