Hi Ian!
Sometimes the "ears" of the counterhoop get bent in from tensioning, and you have to gently open them up a little to get a Nuskyn head to fit properly inside it. The ears are where the lugs go in. First place the counter hoop on a hard surface such as a cement sidewalk, then give the INSIDE of each ear a gentle blow with a hammer. After two or three times around the counter hoop, the head should fit fine. Just keep testing as you work, and certainly be judicious with the amount of force you use on the counterhoop. Best of luck and let us know how your LPs sound with the Nuskyns.
