For those of you who play congas seated, do you use basket stands, rubber feet, or none of the above? I see most traditional players using no stands at all, and usually tilting the quinto. It seems to me that with the drums slightly elevated from the floor you get more sound out of it. I use gibralter basket stands, and for some reason I feel like I cant get a solid hit on the drum, its like they're bouncy or something. It seems like maybe they're top heavy and the stands dont support the drums enough. Does anyone have any advice or tips on what to use, or how to setup?
