Can you help me please . I recently bought a hobby set of congas 10" and 11" meinl headliners . I am very happy with the sound but now Im thinking of 2 more a conga 11 3/4 " and a 12 1/2 "tumba meinl range . unfotunatly im unable to source 28" headliners comga and tumba .
I have seen 30" tall LOUIS CONTE signiture series. conga and tumba 11 3/4 & 12 1/2 " .is it viable to use these along with my headliners.
Other options ive considered are to sell the headliners and maybe buy a complete new set of 4 Louis conte or Lp`s , I know your going to advice the LP`s , but if i do upsgrade to a profesional set up Im kinda on a budget , Ive seen some really good second hamd set ups on e bay LP`s and Meinl`s. for the kind of money im budgeted for .

Greetings Congadelica,

You have plenty of options, you could crank up your 10" and use it as quinto, tune the 11" down a bit and add a 12 & 1/2".. If your going to add the taller Louis Conte, it's not ideal having different height drums especially if your a sit down player... Budget wise, have you looked at Matador? You can get 3 good drums at a very nice price..

Happy shopping..
