New skins for my Gon Bops

Hi, Newbie here from New Zealand.
I have bought a pair of Gon Bops 10" and 11", the badges are marked "Gon Bops of California. The model # is "IC-4414" and unit #13813/486, but the badges are very worn, and I find the skins far too heavy. What would you suggest I replace them with, as I am after a bright edgy expressive sound, and I am not familiar with the new fibre skins etc.,
Any suggestions on thickness, type and brand will be most appreciated.
