Posted: Tue May 29, 2007 8:05 pmSo I traded my 3 LP classics, about a month or 2 ago, for a very nice vintage Gretsch drumset. The deal was just too good to turn down. But now that I have no congas I'm really starting to regret the trade. I went to jam with a buddy over the weekend, him on set and me on his congas, and I just had a blast! I just enjoy playing with my hands more than sticks. So the decision has been made to ditch the set and get some new congas. I'm probably going to make around $1500-$2000 for the drumset, so in the end I'll turn out ahead seeing as I only spent $600 on the classics plus $75 for bags when I got them.
So I'll be in the market for a new set of congas probably by early next week. I fell in love with the vintage Gon Bops sound and will probably go with those, but I would love to hear some of yalls suggestions. I probably wouldn't want to spend over $1000 and they will be purchased used. Also if anyone has any forsale please let me know.
