Hi all,

Djembe players use "shea butter" for their hands, which is some kind of vegetative grease.
There were some posts were you mentioned that new congas will get a lot of "oil" (or some kind of grease as I understand) soon. Do you use it for your handcare or is it some kind of drum head skin maintenance as well?

Hi Roka,
We use palm oil (more like a paste) " manteca de corojo" to treat the skin. Though I guess it would be good for the hands too.

If you can't get it in Lithuania, you could use a lanolin based product, just don't use anything with alcohol in it , which alot of products do.
