Beautiful drums..just a piece of history guys ..I was the one that picked out the black bands for SOS drums back in 1971-72 when Jay had his first shop on Smith street in Brooklyn...He wanted to get away from the the silver bands that were being used then. I found his shop accidentally because my grandmother lived in that area, I walked in and introduced myself as a player and he asked me which bands I liked better ..I picked the black ones he is using today, for the strength and the look...Johnny Conga
