I'm sorry if there is another better place to do this, but I have a set of 3 Pearl Bobby Allende congas in Cafe Con Leche color that I am selling. I bought them from a shop that he gave a clinic at in Arizona. He played this set for the clinic and I bought them shortly after. I have gigged with them only twice and other than that they have been in my basement. I still have the original boxes they came in. They have synthetic heads, and I put an LP hand-select on the quinto, but still have the synthetic for that.

I also have a custom LP tumba that I've been using for a super-tumba. It matches fairly well. Please ask questions.

Garvin this is the right place.
I've been looking at the Bobby Allende's.
Nice drums. Why you selling?

I'm selling them because I fell in love with a custom set of Malian congas from Drumskulls. I posted another thread asking questions about them.
I bought the Allendes because I thought I'd be gigging a lot more, and wanted something that was a little lighter and more durable for the road. They project very cleanly within a live band and are easy to mic. But as it turns out I'm taking a lot more gigs on drum set right now and can't afford to own 8 congas (I have a couple others as well) My wife would castrate me. There is nothing wrong with the Allendes at all though.

Sorry to bump this, but the auction for these is ending in a couple days... Am I asking too much? Like I said, I can negotiate on price, heck I'll even include my Allende Bongos!

With due respect Garvin you have probably set the reserve a wee bit too high.
This set is available for $978 and $935 with free shipping from Drumworks and Sam Ash respectively.
Hope you manage to dispose of them without too much collateral damage :;): Good Luck

I kind of had a feeling that was the case. I'll try and lower it.
Thanks for the tip. No point being greedy.
I just lowered it by a hundred bucks. That seems fair to me since they are still brand new congas. I'll throw the bongos in for an extra hundred.
