I've used Remo Fyberskyns, LP-Evans tri-dot, etc. and these are my results.

The LP-Evans synthetic heads sound too focused and dead to me. The dot REALLY dampens overtones, limiting slaps and high cracks. I don't like them at all.

The Remo Fyberskyns have had an excellent response all around. If nothing better comes along, I'd stick with these.

I wanted to know if there were any other heads (synthetic) out on the market that would be better accentuating or allowing more "loudness" from the congas.

I have a trio of Fiberglass patato valdez LP congas to put them on.

What's the deal in terms of sound texture and loudness for different synthetic heads.
