Is possible I might be selling this Junior Tirado conga along with a set of two later on. Presently I have 7 Junior congas and I'll be keeping 4.
This particular one I picked in Junior's workshop in Brooklyn about 10 yrs. ago. Someone left it to be refurbished and never picked it up. Junior
made new reinforced chromed sideplates for it and refinished the shell with marine varnish. I put a new Venezuelan skin on it. Its an early 70's (73 or 74). Caribbean mahogany and its sound is second to none. Playing surface is 11 1/2". Excellent for playing tumbao (marcha), also awesome quinto sound for rumba, guaguanco. I'm giving forum members priority, but eventually will go on Ebay, however, there is no hurry as money is not the object. I just feel I must reduce my Junior arsenal. Pa' que la jeva no joda tanto.
