be very carefull with the work behind timba percussion , i had a full set of theses i had them less than a year & all four drums cracked on me in a number of different places , they are beautifull ~ no dought & they sound good , but the truth be told that they are not built well , in fact another freind of mine out in the bronx has a set of 5 & over time 4 out of the 5 cracked in alot of places , i also wanted to mention that all my drums were still under warranty & silvia cunningham of timba percussion acted far from proffessional about the whole situation , she realy did me dirty , i wish this guy the best with his auction , but at the same time i would hate to see someone end up with there feelings hurt after spending long cash on a set of drums ...
one more thing i wanted to mention was that i know people who own timbas in the outer states like cali & florida & miami , & have no problem but out here in new york or jersey , come winter & the shells timba make realy suffer & dont hold up , i think they are not worth the money the company pushes for , once again be very carefull with timba percussion ...

here is a few pics of the set i had ... jaisen ... the last pic is a pic of my ash junior tirados with my oak timbas

What about their Bongos ? Do they also have the same flaws ? The congas cracking issue have been mention by other members in the pass.
Jaisen, what really happen when you contacted them about the flaws that develope in your Congas ?

I have a set of their bongos and I love them, I've had them around a couple of years I believe and they are very solid, great sounding, big voiced drums. I've never had any experience of the congas though.

I've been lucky ,I guess, have had a set of 5 Timbas(oak) and not one crack or split !I live in upstate New York State(Syracuse) we get some terrible winters and no problems in almost three years(keeping my fingers crossed)Sorry for the problems some of you brothers have had.
Vinnie (Syr,N.Y.) PS I have had some LP Gios split, quinto and requinto and LP honored the warranty ! sent me new drums .Great company !

I have a conga+tumba set in Virginia and after a couple of years they're still in excellent shape. I also own a pair of bongos and they are very solid indeed.
As a coincidence, I had a LP matador that split and LP replaced it NQA.
