Gon Bops Identification

Saludos Hermanos
I’m having a hard time trying to place a specific time of production on this gon bops (if possible). The side plates should be a dead giveaway for some of you.
I haven’t seen too many gon bops with these side plates. I also can’t tell what type of wood it is. At first I thought it was oak, but it is light as feather and oak tends to be a bit on the heavy side. It also seems to be some type of soft wood. Any information will help

Thanks

oz

That wood really looks like the phillipne luan wood, mahogany that
Gon Bops used. That wood is also soft and very light. It does not look
like oak to me.
I think its the phillipine mahogany, luan wood.

No clue about the lug plates, sorry.
Nice drum.

I seem to remember seeing similar lugs on old Gon Bops bata, some fiberglass ones..
I can't dig up an image. I think someone was selling them here a while back.
The shape reminds me a little of Valje lug plates.
