Victorius,

Interesting congas! The congas in the 1st picture look like each one is carved from a single piece of wood and not made from staves.

Thanks for sharing,

Reading the description on the construction of the drum reveals that the shell is constructed with some type of resin fiber, so they are more in the line of fiberglass. Nice looking drums, I wonder if anyone here has or has ever played a set?

The legendary Tata Guines used to play Campos percussion from Madrid. I know a have a photo of him playing them. Will have to search for it.

I love the whole wood set. I emailed Pedro at Campos Percusion and he says they're made of an african wood called dimbu. According to him, they have "volumen espectacular". I really love that look and I didn't find them too expensive.
He said he's willing to sell the set for 850 Euros.

They're maracas look really nice too. Made out of cowhide. They cost 65 Euros for the set. I did find that a bit high...

Anyway, I don't think I can afford any more drums at this time so I'll just keep an eye on them for now. :)

If anybody has used them or heard them, please drop a comment!

I'm curious how this campos sounds when compare to LP Patato with changed head... Campos is 150 euro cheaper than Patato in europe (with new skin), but patatos have their characteristic sound  Nothing but buy both and compare! :D
