Custom Built LPs

I didn't know LP did custom work until I saw this:

Anyone try these before? I'm not looking to buy, just curious.

I saw a set that came in at a local store someone had ordered and they looked great.
Silver Sparkle and chrome everywhere they almost blinded me :-).

They come with a custom logo with your name on it.

You can design your own LP custom tumbadoras & bongos at:

Hope this helps,

I have a couple of the custom shop demo congas I would sell for $350 each if anyone is interested. LP made them to show the different woods, fiberglass, and hardware that the custom shop has. They only made about 200 of them and sent them to their major sales centers - they were never meant to be sold. The ones I have are made with 20 separate sections 10 different woods and 10 different fiberglass panels - 20 different colors and all the different hardware. They sound pretty good and are very funky looking. New, never used except as shop samples. I have them in a storage locker in the US and will be there in about a month. You can find pictures on the LP web site.

Hi there,

Last year I've won a set of LP Custom Shops. They were custom made to my specs. LP Classic, green fade down, matte finish with heavy duty brushed nickel hardware.
There was almost five months between ordering and delivery !!!!

Any more LP Custom Shop players on the forum ?!?!?!?!

Here's a picture.

Grtnx,
René

In real life they are a little bit darker!

I went to the custom page and noticed that one can only custom "build" the color of the hardware and shell but you cannot change the shape. I was excited for a minute thinking one could make whatever specs one would like to have on a drum.

I guess it's what's to be expected out of LP.... It would've been nice if they gave you an option of building your own drum.

Do companies like Matt Smith, SOS, Isla give you an option to build a drum with specific dimensions? Or are they always the same signature size and shape?

peace

6X8, I got them from a friend - I had 3 but now have 2 left. I was told they were the last ones in the LP inventory and would never be made again. They were apparently very expensive to make and because they were designed in order to increase custom shop sales they were made with extra special care. They are way too flashy for me but are great for someone who wants the attention they get.
