First of all let me start by saying that LP Classic congas are not by any means bad or cheep congas, in fact they are the standard for many of the drums that are out there on the market. I have personally used them and have been very impressed and satisfied with the sound quality. It's unfortunate that you are having this issue nonetheless I recommend that you see the attached link in where this issue is discussed extensively. Good luck.
By the way, do you have natural skins or synthetic heads on those congas?

Thank so much king conga for the post, but now I dont have ring anymore, but there is another weird soud that resonate on the sheel, like some distort sustain,(dificult to explain,I have a bad inglish)too much sustain, the sound is not round.I use real skins ,now i have excelent mule heads, but the sound is even worse.i dont understand.Perhaps is a shell problem, the tumba is ok whit that fat round sound but the conga...

I do like LPs they are nice and you can have many difernt tipes of sound, but I gess that the quality control is not so good.A factory is a factory.

Best regards
