They look like decent drums - likely renovated/refinished since coming from Cuba. That's a lot of money to pay for something without having much of an idea about how they will sound.

I have a cousin of these drums - got it cheap from someone near me who'd brought it back personally from Cuba. I haven't tried to renovate it yet. It's split to hell and the staves are very uneven in thickness and wood quality, and the hardware and welding work are very rough. It's not a high quality drum and doesn't sound great like it is. Plus someone in Cuba chopped it down by 3-4" (75-100mm) See pic:

The price equates to $1,096 in US dollars. That seems hight to me. As far as sound, I can tell you they will sound great. I had a similar set like that some years back. They look like early SONOCS (60's). I will pay about $600 US for the pair. The problem being the glue used in Cuba is very poor quality and these congas will split with time and tunning pressure. They are not as solid as a Matt Smith or a SOS, but soundwise you can't beat them. Try to negotiate the price on the fact that you'll have to rechrome the hardware, they may come down in price. The sound is excellent on them congas.

I have the same opinion Omelenko, the price it's high.I'm scared to invest money in some congas ,even if they are rare and distinct,to find myself whit a conga split. The annoncer descrived the sound like:Incredible and fantastic, probably they have that rare sound that it seems lost in today congas :(

Thanks so much for the comments and help.
