Coño, I just noticed they are on wet tiles. Is that bad for the wood bottom ring of any wooden drum or a little water is no big deal? Not that someone would deliberately do it but mistakes, accidents...

I can't imagine that tiny bit of water hurting anything.

I know theres no way in hell I'd be putting them in puddles if they were mine. Im almost certain Isla does not seal the bases of their drums.
Any water, no mater what quantity is bad for the drum. (if not sealed/protected)

But its just a piccy for show ...mighty fine presentation I might add.

Mario does/did use clear rubber on the bottom, hard to tell if it is still part of production from the picture though. He knows how to present it nicely for sure.

I don't think that's absolutely correct, obviously large amounts of moisture are not good for drums, but dryness is what really causes problems with stave separation. I remeber many moons ago I went to a clinic by Godwain Ocbailey , a ghanaian master drummer when I was at NTSU, we had a set of drums that were separating and he came in and put them back together. He told us that we needed to water the drums, I was thinking , here he goes about the spirit of the drum and how it needs to be fed etc., but he then put the drum on its side ( these were barrels) put a hose in it, , put some water in it and rolled the drum around so that all the staves got a nice "soak". Basically this kept the staves nice and full so they didn't dry out and separate.
