Picked this up on e-bay for about 200 with including shipping, the seller said she got it in Santiago, it's definitely the same strong smelling cuban cedro that my sonoc bata are made out of, nice wood, I inexpertly fixed a couple oof cracks, might sand it down this winter break or summer and refinish it, the wood has a nice look. The skin is thick chivo (goat) and has a bright open tone with tight slaps and a nice bass, I used it in a guiro this wekend and it really had the perfect sound para repicar, 10.5 inches across the head.

PC,

The wood on the conga looks beautiful, Cedro Cubano. If it was mine, I'll got the extra mile and chrome plate the crown and sideplateds, a worth while investment.
