I came across these on CL while looking for a cheap conga to practice with. The PO barely used them and pretty much gave them away for $100 with the stands.
I already started on a few of JC's videos fun stuff.

they are like any other entry level set from Asia. But these crowns are thin and can / will warp. If you find or have traditional crown of same size, that will up grade these drums and make them worthy of better heads. A friend has a 10 " low end Toca w/ basic traditional crown. I added a recycled cow hide and this drum became a great quinto ! We crank it 5 notes above middle C on the piano scale and it sings ! The head is now 10 years old, never been de tuned, we are wondering when this cheapo drum will crack but it has not.

I started with CPs and the rims bent like crazy, but they still worked, they just looked bad. I guess they would eventually give in and break but I sold them to drum circle hippies long before that could happen and they hate to tune their drums tight
