If I needed drums,, I'd "buy them now" for $2500!! That's an amazing deal!

Me too! I've been thinking that if I sold my mismatched set of 3 old Gon Bops and my old GB bongos I could come up with a way to "need" them. Right now I'm having a hard time justifying buying them.

A real good set for someone with that need and/or an extra $2500.

That ended without a bidder, was relisted and the same again. I really want a Sol quinto (actually, a requinto) as I think it'll be a long wait for my teacher to die and leave me her Sol requinto--my favorite drum in the entire world, and could maybe use another conga, but I couldn't find anyone interested in the other parts of the set. Nor would seller consider breaking the set. It also seems pretty clear to me that his reserve actually is the same as his buy it now price of $2,500.00. Some people think that's a deal but I don't think so -- these aren't that old, it's EBay, there's no return on this auction, there are the hazards of shipping to consider, and you can't hear or play them. If somebody else is interested in the tumba and bongos, I still am interested in the quinto and (maybe) the conga--I truly do need 3 good drums for guaguanco but house repairs must come first.
