It certainly doesn't look like any head I've mounted before, very fleshy... but Tiger Skin! No really, what type of skin is it?

I've been chuckling to myself about he politics involved in sourcing tiger skin, unless you happen to have a zoo out back and an old one died of natural causes LOL>

OK - so I read back further, it's a bull skin. whew - I had a gullible moment there!

BTW - very sweet work you're doing there.

Hey Rythme,

Aaaahhhh, of course not !!! Tiger just because of the color !!!

Yes, it's a beautiful bull skin, but what temper !!! It bend my internal rim !!...

Concernig the sound, we will see... super thick, but with a good tension, it could be a lightning !!!!

It's dry !!!

Wow...... it's a boy..

Super hight pitched, powerfull and heavy, slap super easy, pretty short open tones. Not so difficult to play even with the "steak" skin !

The most impressive is the volume !!!! very very powerfull. Gooooood réquinto.

So, Acacia wood works !

I will try to have vidéo camera and post something good.

Hi Dende,

No, I think it's because of this wood very strong and the resin/fiberglass coat wich make the shell stronger and transmit very well the vibrations between the staves.

Just with glue, I think that the glue don't transmit the vibrations between the staves, as a "silent block" (don't shure of the exact word). For this drum, the resin/fiber make this job.
