Does anyone know something about this brand other than they are LP clones? By sight they seem comparable to matadors...

Brian,

They would be a good addition to your quality Gon Bops, you could take them out for rumbas and keep the Gon Bops at home so as not to abuse them.

I have one JUGGS conga that looks very home made, with a mor old school sign, and traditional hardware that looks like Valje's style.
Mine look like mahogany, i am restoring my conga, it has a different shape then lp's, JUGGS had nothing to do with LP.
IT WAS ONE OF THOSE OLD SCHOOL brands, that not many have talked about here.

They have a good sound, very deep base even the congas. I THINK THEY STARTED MAKING Juggs in Colombia, or a latin america country that is what the old school tag said on my conga.

Mine had a very vintage tag, some also had a JUGGS symbol sticker...mine also had a name tag i took off that said made for Eddie Marrero, the original pwner was from NY, then it got shiped to some relative on Florida, and then i got it.

Mine was made in the early 80's, magohany, chrome plated hardware. Made very underground home style appearance.
