I'm considering mounting a 16" cymbal off of my timbales. Does anybody have any experience with using the claw for a cymbal this size? I'm aware of two of them: the LP Clap and the Gibraltar SC-JCM Jaw Cymbal Mount.

I'm mainly curious if it's strong enough and has enough clearance. Thanks!

Consider mounting the cymbal off the timbale stand instead using a dog bone and cymbal arm. I use DW which is rock solid, but Gibralter also makes similar products.
