They seem to be Toca fiberglass bongos.

Thanks for the help- the seller just contacted me and told me those were the wrong pictures. He sent me new ones- what about this set? Is it solid shell?

I received these about a week ago. There's no marking anywhere to determine who makes it. Very odd. It does feel like somebody painted the drums. I bought them from Guitar Center, who mentioned that they we're prototypes, but the guy didn't know anything else about them. They're nice drums, and pretty light too, which is a plus.

Does anybody recognize the rib pattern?

The hardware and the shells suggest LP to me, the only difference is the ribs. Even the wood seems to be thai oak.
There is a good chance they are some sort of protype of one of the big companies.

Although I've not seen LP use that sort of bottom on their drums before. I know Timba does, although I highly doubt these are Timba drums. Who else uses this type of bottom?

Yes they do. LP has been using cuban steel bottoms for decades. Those bongos of yours are basically the same as LP Gen II the only difference is the grooves. If not LP there is a good chance is Toca. Toca uses that configuration of comfort curve and cuban steel bottoms on some of their bongos too.
