Have you seen these Meinls??

Does anyone have any information on these Meinls?..They actually look like aluminum, outside, but they are reflecting the color off the rug on the floor which gives them that golden look..I couldn't find them in the Meinl catalog...????

BTW this is NOT photoshop either .Meinl did have a set at the Namm show...

Yes...

These are the Designer Series congas.

Only made one (1) year - I don't remember exactly, but not too long ago.

Another year they were made to look like carbon fiber.

There is a video of these being played on YT. I believe it's a female player.

I thought they were aesthetically awesome and would have loved to own a set.

Those aren't polished chrome. It's an aerosol 2 part finish that can be sprayed over any properly prepared high gloss non porous surface. It will rub off with use. That's how they get the chrome look on plastic which, can't be plated.
