KING CONGA 12 1/2 INCH SIZE??

Hello everybody. Hope you are all having a great Sunday. I wanted to know if anyone has the large size King Conga Tumba that measures 12 1/2" on the head. I would be interested in buying/trading for it. It does not have to be in mint condition, as long as it is in some kind of Fair condition where I can fix it up if need be.

Thanks very much. Hope someone has one that they are willing to part with.

Will.

I have one of these in my collection but sorry, I am not selling, they are hard to come by.
Good luck with the search!

Thanks deerskins for the reply. I guess I am hoping that there is someone that is not a collector in the sense of the word. I have the 10 1/2 and the 11 1/2 sizes, but the need for the deeper tone tumba is really desired. These drums that I have are playing drums and not part of a collection. That's why I stated that I don't mind that the drum is not in mint condition, but in a decent fair condition where I can clean it up and put a new head on it if needed so that I can play the thing. Sometimes we tend to become collectors to the point that all these drums will never get played. Tragedy . In the beginning I was a collector and it took a big toll on me. At present I have 9 drums, but since there are 3 that are not getting attention I am thinking about selling them to someone that will play them.

Anyway...............If someone has a King 12 1/2" Tumba I am willing to negotiate for it ok?

Thanks to all the Forum members.

Will.

Yep, I hear you.
I am not a collector, i play my drums but yeah, sometimes
I do purchase a drum that doesn't get played much and I usually
end up thinning those out over time.
Personally, i think congas are kinda silly to collect, they are large and heavy.
stamps would be a much easier thing to collect ;)
Anyhow, my 12.5 king is part of a 5 king set I am building up,
2 of them are in near mint condition
(many photos online and possibly here of those drums)
and the other 3 are going to get restored to match....long term project.
Here's the (2) I am speaking of:

BTW, looks like you may have a chance to buy a 'brand new' 12.5 king,
check out the facebook...progress is being made.
