After long, hard work and plentiful sweat and patience , now my 6 piece Valje set is now complety restored: 9,5";10,5"(double);11,5";12";12,5".
These drum are from 70 and completly original , only super quinto don not have original plates and lug.
When I play quinto directly on the floor without carpet, the shell vibrate so much like a drill hammer working on the cement.
I checked if something is not fixed properly but everything ok , is really the shell tha resonate so much that make this vibration.
Very good drums , amazing sound

You should contact Ralph Flores at Resolution Drums and get to original Valje side plates and replace those LP on the super quinto. That will add originality and more value to your set. Very nice setup!

Of course it has been easier to restore all 6 tubes than play together
I am a Sunday afternoon player only, may be in the nexts 10 or 20 years I can prepare something to show here , so check sometimes my post
I have already asked to new plates but it is more expensive than what drum worth , so I do not know if................
