I just scored this 1972 original model Palisades Park trio from my friend Mario. They are in prestine condition for drums that are 40 yrs. old. I don't think they were used much at all. These are getting very hard to find (the trio) and specially in this condition. For your viewing pleasure.

Them 1970's LP fiberglass congas are something else.
Bring back lots of memories of the "Salsa" heyday
back in the 1970's. In my book the iconic conga of
that era. The late great master conga player
Ray Barretto had a set of those on the art cover
of one of the most legendary albums of that era,
the self titled "Barretto". Wonderful score, Dario.

Vaya Ritmo,

You brought back memories with that Barretto album in which "Guarare" appears. That's one of my favorite albums of all. Ray is playing some of the the same congas I just scored. In my opinion, those are the best congas LP ever made, from Palisades Park, NJ very well made in the good 'ol USA. Now everything is from Thailand. I was lucky to find an original trio in such great condition.

Aba,

You know is a sickness, an addiction. When I saw these and in the condition they are in, I couldn't pass on them.

It has been proven by percussionist in the know, that these are the deisarble LPs, specially if you are a traditional sit down player a la Mongo. I bought these because they are an original 1972 LP trio, they are in prestine condition and they are sort of a rare burgandy color, breaking awy from the more common black. I just couldn't pass on them. They are Palisades Park, made in Americana and are getting very hard to come by, specially in this condition.
