My ''new'' meinl Woodcraft the first serie's Conga's .
I've put a new thick skin on the conga witch was verry thin (and old ) .

It's a verry nice and loud set, I love it

Cost me E450.00

Whoa, congratulations, very nice score,
but please get rid of that LP skin on the tumba please... ;-)
Those Meinls are at their best with thick cowskin IMHO.
Peace & drum

The "someone else" being me, with the Woodcrafts as I got them, with their water buffalo skins overstretched.
My later replacement skins (thick cow skins) have really done the trick, although breaking them in took 6 months.
But now they sing when cranked up. 8)

I've drilled a third hole in the lug plate at the same place where the later woodcrafts drilled the third hole .
The lug plate seemed to come of the tub a little .
