My ''new'' meinl Woodcraft the first serie's Conga's . I've put a new thick skin on the conga witch was verry thin (and old ) .
It's a verry nice and loud set, I love it
Cost me E450.00

Whoa, congratulations, very nice score, but please get rid of that LP skin on the tumba please... Those Meinls are at their best with thick cowskin IMHO.

The "someone else" being me, with the Woodcrafts as I got them, with their water buffalo skins overstretched. My later replacement skins (thick cow skins) have really done the trick, although breaking them in took 6 months. But now they sing when cranked up.

I've drilled a third hole in the lug plate at the same place where the later woodcrafts drilled the third hole . The lug plate seemed to come of the tub a little .
