This is a very casual demo comparison of my Valje Concert Series, Valje LP's, Gon Bops Mahogany and 1960's Cubano bongos played back to back.

What a great comparison. Thanks for sharing. It's no doubt close but my favorite would be the Cuban bongo, the highs and mids are very well balanced.
It looks to be requena, am I correct?

Saludos, very good videos. However, I think the tuning of the Machos is too low, the hembras could sound better with a thicker skin. Also the comparison of the two valjes is off because the lp have inferior factory skins. A microphone under the bongo would have been in a better position to record the true sound.
