Own a pair of LP fiberglass Galaxy congas. They have a couple of scratches and nips. Were can I find paint to re touch them? Tried to contact LP on this issue but they said that the paint was embedded into the shell () so, no help there. Any help will greatly appreciated.

Normally on LP fiberglass congas the finish is a gel coat. You can Google gel coat repairs
and there is tons of information. Many times wet sanding with high grade sand paper then
follow by rubbing and polishing compounds is all that is required to get rid of superficial
scratches and nips. Gel coating is a tad more involved and not for the inexperienced.

I think on those Galaxy with the glitter/shimmer effect they use a clear coat that contains
the metal flakes or specks. The base or background color is normally black, top coated with
the clear containing the flakes or specks. So normally most scratches and nips are on the clear.
The thing with the clear on LP drums is that is what is called a 2 part urethane finish same thing
use on cars.

Absolutely agree. Also a boat repair shop can do the trick as well.
