Luv these drums...

My recently arrived new Moperc 10" requinto(custom cubano series, natural ash color, thick cow skin). My 13.25" large tumba(salsa club series, sunrise color, medium-thick cow skin) has company now.

Gorgeous!
I have never had the chance to play on Moperc congas,
but they must be simply great. Congrats on your purchase.
Peace & drum

Bad ass requinto, love the ash natural finish and the steel bands.
Is the requinto taller than the super tumba?

Moperc congas all are 30" height. The angle of the camera makes look taller. Yeah, Michel's drums are very precisely made and streamlined. Heavy, since the staves are thick cut (not steam bent). Stainless steel hardware. I like the extra weight, it gives a solid anchored feel. Thick cow skin, nice dry tone. Sound is great, powerful.

Congratulations Ebongo on your new addition...

Natural is my color of choice it shows off the grain.

Morperc are some of the best instruments made...

You'll enjoy those for a long time as they get even better with age..

I like both the sunrise color for the salsa style and more modern look, and I like the natural ash color for that simple natural traditional look, so I wound up getting both colors. Now I am deciding which of the two colors to go with for my upcoming moperc congas to complete the set (total of 4). Natural ash would match the requinto conga and tumba, or else, sunrise would match the conga tumba and supertumba. This is like deciding between having either a sweet mango or a sweet jackfruit. [sigh] Decisions decisions LoL

Elbongo,

It's nice to have choices...I landed on natural but like the sunrise flavor as well.Good to hear you have more on the way. Let us know what you decide on.

I have a few drums but love the Moperc tones and playability....

Good luck with your decision...
