Do the heads that Remo make to fit the new Gon Bops also fit the old 70's drums or are there any heads Remo make that will fit?

I'd like to try out some plastic heads on my old Gon Bops. They are such light drums and so easy to take to small gigs but I'm playing a lot of louder gigs with a drummer and need a bit more projection. I'd also quite like to put a bit less stress on these old shells as the quinto is beginning to warp.

I came across a good deal on a Remo new skin 9 3/4"

Unfortunately although the skin fit on the leading edge of my Gon Bops Quinto,( 9.50") the rim is too small for the edge of the skin, so my rim rides in the middle of the crimped skin. ( Maybe I should post a pic.)
Before buy I would suggest you ask/verify the diam. of the bottom of the skin to see if it fit with your rim.

Maybe one thing you can do is remove the head and crown from your drum and take them with you to the store to see if you can make sure the remo head will fit on your rim and will work for your shell by comparing at the store?
