I´d like to know something about this pair of congas. Looks strange to me, but ...

British King (nothing common with the USA brand with the same name).
These were used in the 60s and the 70s. They remind also of British Natal, from the same era. Natal still exists BTW. It was bought by Marshall (yes, the amplifiers), but look quite different now.

Interesting set. Are the tuning lugs meant to be backwards?

I think they're always placed this way with this brand. We should try and check out on old videos (The Rolling Stones, Traffic, etc.).
