Thanks for the posts in this thread previously. Does anyone have recent additions they can recommend? I'm a classical percussionist looking to start working on my Latin percussion skills (especially conga) and would appreciate a recommendation for a teacher who can whip a note-reader like me into place :-)

let's start by a real precise question.. what style would you like to learn ?? or doyou not know the different styles yet ??? from afro-cuban to afro-dominican to salsa to rumba to to very traditional ...afro-yoruba etc... this should be a first goal..
it's helps the student to focus on a drive .... they all take you to africa in the end ... it's just different camino's ... aché. and good fishing. :)
