Hi,
There are lots of good folks in the Boulder area (as well as some real A-holes) I think a member named windhorse actually lives there and probably knows some people. I also know that the percussionist for The Motet, or at least he was at one time, name Scott Messerschmitt (sp) is a very experienced player who has visited Cuba a number of times. I would just look at the local bands anf findout which percussionists are giving lessons.
