Buenos Aires?

Postby wet bull » Wed Nov 25, 2009 9:18 pm

Chau all,

Heading down to Buenos Aires in January. Gonna be taking my tabla and a conga with me. Wondering if anyone has been down that way, whether or not it will be easy for me to find a rumba scene and some good teachers? I have seen some kind of rumba dance classes advertised there - I assume there would be live percussion. If I can't find any other leads it looks like I'll be starting there.

There is a bit of a scene there, my homeboy moved there late last year. Ask around for Carlos Mora, or I could send you his email if you like. 'Mora - El Flaco' is half Panamanian, half Costa Rican. He is a great guy, awesome rumbero and a great sonero/rapper and all round entertainer! Great guy. Let me know, he is always up for a rumba and is well connected into the rumba scene there.
