I think is great you guys are doing this event in California, its gonna be great trying to get everyone together of whats left in the Rumba seen in Los Angeles area.

However i think the cover charge is allitle ont he high side, since most UP SCALE CLUB'S in Los Angeles , chrarge $10.00 cover for their main events.
The Cuban restauranst in LA and Hollywood are doing it big this year, by bringing in more salsa, and Cuban orchestras into thei venues, all you gotta do is consume.

Defentetly a good thing you guys have going on, keep it up to the Rumberos in the LA area...best wishes!

Mr. Conga,

I agree with your analysis on the price point.

Just to be clear, I am not involved in the production of this event, but just passing along the information that was shared with me - and I have even been invited to play clave/palitos and told "not to mess up" :D

OK.....Thanks 4 sharing!...
i was wondering if you were involve in putting it together, i did not wanna offend you by posting my overview of price, i am glad you are not the one that put the event together, i was just giving my honest opinion, every one in the rumba scene in LA can coaperate with $ 10.00

things have been slow in LA as far as economiclly, everyone i know in the rumba scene is basically unemployed, or broke, andd not doing gigs. I want to check out the MacArthur park...i know i misspelled it.

Did you happend to buy those really beat up congas they had in LA craiglist saying they were from Havana , super beat up?

are you selling a conga, on craigs that has a chekere on top, i got a feeling is you?

I am really happy you are playing something there.

Even if I were putting on the show, I would not be offended - critique is a good thing.

I am not selling any conga's at this point - fixing a bunch, but not selling.

As for those beaters, I passed - I have enough refinishing projects on my hands.

Hey if I get to play chekere, clave, or palitos I would be honored. If we can get some cantos going, that would be even better.
