There will be a rumba in honor of Pupy Insua (ibae) tonight June 3, 2011 9pm-1am at El Fogon Center for the Arts, 989 Home St. corner Vyse Ave, Bronx, NY. Rumba de cajon. Everyone welcome. 917 353-6273, 646 229-6224.

I was fortunate to play rumba with Pupy about a year ago in San Francisco. Also I was able to see him dance, sing and play rumba at a performance in my city as well. A very nice man whose rumba I enjoyed very much. I am grateful to have been able to see his artistry first hand. Rest in peace Pupy.
