I was there in Colombia when Joe passed away.
It' INCREDIBLE how popular Joe was in his country..... since the day he was hospitalized, the news were talking about him constantly.

In Colombia there's even a soap opera about the life of Joe Arroyo, called "El Joe":
http://www.canalrcnmsn.com/programas/el_joe

It's based on the biography written by Joe, when he started, meeting Fruko, playing with him, the loves, etc.

Que viva el Joe y la Salsa!!

THe dam music production companies deny the world of great talent, here in USA ...the just outright crap of music regaeeton ( no talent, insulting lirics , and disrespectful to music evolution. Puerto Rico takes credit for inventing it , Lavoe is rolling in the grave ) and the backward Mexican banda bands ( 15 on stage play what 5 talented musicians can ) and they all sound the same. Other countries have excellent talent but the music mafias stop it from going main stream.

Peace
