I just read that Johnny Pacheco passed away on February 15. Rest in peace.

I was very fortunate to Have seeN him perform many times in NYC! The Copacabana, Latin Quarters, The Palladium, Casa Borinquen, Madison Square Garden etc. He was the Man! He will be missed. Rest In Peace Pacheco.

I never got to see him live. But I am thankful to him for putting together so many great records, and even more for his role in the diffusion of Latin music. Without him, there's a good chance that I would have never come across a lot of the music that I love today. Gracias Pacheco!

Lol, I Remember seeing him perform towards his later years with Hector Casanova. Stiff as a board due to age, but still Rumbeando at the top of his game. He’s an Icon of our music for sure.
