JC , you know of a place called Dimitriou's Jazz Alley . well there on May 30 - 31 st a Sax player by the name of Yosvany Terry with a quartet will be playing Afro-cuban rythm, from what I read on the line up, he didn't have a percussionist ? how can you play Afro-cuban rythms without a rumbero. JC set them straight.

Well actually if he has Dafnis Prieto on drums thats all he needs, and if you heard Yosvany's new CD Metamorphisis, it is an "abstract jazz' Cd...of course because he is a Black Cuban it now becomes Afro-Cuban music...that is the other side of it...and also how the "establishment" "tags" it..."JC" Johnny Conga... :D ....yes Jazz Alley is here ...in Seattle
