I recommend going to the Goodwill Store or Salvation Army with your bongos and trying out all the second hand suitcases and such.

That's what I have done and came away with a sturdy plastic toolbox my bongos fit very well in, and I also got a leather doctors satchel for all my claves , bells, sticks, maracas, etc.

$6 and $10 and funky original gear thats not generic and off the shelf! (priceless).

Ditto. Humes and Berg Enduro cases. I have those. They come with padding and without padding.

Used them for traveling and they protect excellent. However, not that much space for bells or anything else.

Timbas Ismael used to make and excellent case that had an area for bells, beaters, etc, etc separated from the bongo. With a padded area for the bongo. They used to make them of the "cardboard" material and then made in a harder, but still fragile, material. Don't know if anybody is making them anymore. I have one which I cherish a lot. However, no good for plane traveling.... Then.....

Humes and Berg Enduro Cases.

Saludos!

I found a nice case in Florida when I was in Florida last month just like a chest. It has a section for the bongo and two separate sections to the left for companas and accesories. There is definatley a market for a good Bongo Case.
