Store closing down, picked up a bargain! 45th anniv LP Bongo

Postby ABAKUA » Mon Sep 24, 2012 1:04 pm

So after 50 yrs of business the largest drum and percussion store with stores nationwide is closing its doors here. Sad really, these guys have been the distributor for LP, Pearl, Matador, all things mass produced percussion and all top line drums as well.
As a result of them going into receivership, all stock is currently marked at 20-40% off with further price drops in the days leading to the final closure.
This store has supported countless musicians, and provided the backline to every major act to have toured the country, as well as providing backline for every major music festival as well. I have close to 20 yrs business relationship with them also.
I picked up these 45th anniversary LP Bongo for an absolute steal, along with the case. I dont plan on playing these though, Im packing them away, in years to come I imagine they will become quite rare to be in perfect condition and could become a collectible item.
In the next few weeks I might snatch up some tumbas as well, the prices are ridiculously cheap...

Congratulations ABAKUA.
So now the million dollar question, how do they sound?
That case looks sweet, did they come with it?
